What's in the Next Release
The next release in the stable branch will be the Embedthis Appweb 3.2.3. Patches to the stable branch are typically released incrementally as issues emerge.
The next development release will be Appweb 4.0 and it brings some exciting new functionality.
- Embedded Server Pages — C based web framework
- Request Routing and rewriting
- Multi-language support
- Integrated response caching
- Improved documentation and samples
- Improved PHP support
- Async I/O and enhanced streaming support
- Modular Ejscript 2
Appweb 2 is now regarded as legacy code. Customers should therefore upgrade to Appweb 4 as soon as possible.
Release Schedule
As with all good open source, our release schedule is driven by software readiness rather than by commercial needs. Nevertheless, here is an outline of our current best estimate.
