Ioto Agent Pricing
The Ioto Agent is provided with a subscription license that provides the agent source code, license to embed, documentation, samples and ongoing upgrades and security updates.
Free Evaluation
You can evaluate Ioto for free. This includes the ability to embed Ioto in one device and create a device cloud from which to manage your device.
Device Volume
When you have more than one device, a per-device subscription fee applies.
The subscription fee is based on the number of devices that embed the Ioto agent and are manufactured per month. The price is calculated via a sliding scale where the per-device price decreases with increased volume. The more you build, the lower the subscription per device.
The Ioto agent and Ioto service will automatically calculate your device volume as devices are provisioned and tested during manufacture. Alternatively, you can manually enter and maintain the number of manufactured devices via the Builder site.
Billing is performed at the end of each month for the number of devices made during the month. For the first billing period, the price will be calculated based on the number of days in the month the license was active.
Volume Price Brackets
The following price table shows the device subscription price brackets at increasing volume levels.
The price column shows the subscription price once that volume level has been reached for the month. Prices are the price per device per year.

Billing Period
Ioto is billed either monthly in arrears.
If you discontinue your Ioto Agent subscription, you need to cease shipping new products that include the Ioto agent. You can continue to use the Ioto cloud service for existing devices.
Pricing Example
For example: If you have 1001 devices manufactured during the month, the calculation would be as follows:
- First device -- free
- Devices 1 to 10 -- $35 each
- Devices 11 to 100 -- $8.80 each
- Devices 101 to 1000 - $2.20 each
- Device 1001 -- $0.55
So the annual device subscription would be: $35 x 9 + $8.80 x 90 + $2.20 x 900 + $0.29 * 1
Annual Total: $3,087.29
The monthly subscription would then be: ~$258
